UD Leganese of Spain Nigeria duo, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem were on Friday stopped from training with their teammates in the Spanish La Liga club, due to reging worries about coronavirus, megasportsarena.com reports.
The report out of The Land of The Amardama indicates that Omeruo, Awaziem and their teammates did not mark their last trainning session of the week, as the entire Leganes was stopped from leaving their homes in Madrid as a precautionary measure.
This came after Leganes announced officially that they have temporarily suspended their training sessions after the club’s general director Marin Ortega tested positive for COVID-19.
La Liga, Premier League, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 have been suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the German Bundesliga will follow suit as from next Tuesday, hence the move by Leganes to also officially put all activity on hold.
The club stated: “All members of the club’s first-team staff, coaching staff and employees who have had a relationship with the individual with the positive case are not to leave the Community of Madrid. There may be sanctions if this rule isn’t complied with, as well as staying in their homes as long as possible.”
