PSV Eindhoven of Holland youngster, Nonso Madueke has finally sealed a new deal with the Dutch Eredivisie side, thereby putting him further beyond the reach of the English Premier League duo of Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are both said to be in the hunt for his signature this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
While Madueke has admitted the lure of playing in England’s top-0flight league would always appeal to him, the Nigerian-born winger added that he is committed to PSV for as long as the Ditch club are still willing to keep him, which they have now confirmed with the new deal.
Arsenal and Wolves may now have to turn their searchlight elsewhere, after Madueke reached an agreement in principle over a multi-year contract with the Eindhoven, with terms of the new deal, which comes on his 18th birthday, bound to keep him at the club until the 2024/25 season.
Dutch football magazine, Voetbal International further disclosed that Maduke has signed a five-year deal with PSV, as the England under-18 international opted to remain with the team, where he has already been promoted to their main squad.
Maduke, who earlier turned down a scholarship offer at Tottenham Hotspur and rejected a bid by Manchester United before switching to PSV in the summer of 2018, made his full debut in the Eredivisie, after appearing as a substitute in three previous matches in the division.
His full debut came on a night his side won 1-0 against FC Groningen, thereby providing a happy take off for the lad, who had also caught the eye at Valencia of Spain and RB Leipzig of Germany, before he agreed to his new deal with PSV.
