Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has received another feather to his growing cap of honours in the English Premier League, both physical and statistics, as he has been included in the 11 best players marking top marks in their respective clubs’ home matches, megasportsarena.com reports.
The collation is tagged ‘EPL Best Home Team Players,’ and the former Racing Genk of Belgium ace gets top mention among the lot, who are all rated on the strength of regular appearances in home fixtures for their squads, while also picking up high personal marks in all of the matches.
The list published by football statistics website Whoscored.com shows Ndidi gaining a place of prominence in a 4-3-3 formation, for which he is placed in midfield alongside Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
This follows a rundown of stats that show, from Ndidi’s 23 appearances this season in the EPL, 12 came in home matches and the Nigeria international has averaged a whoscored rating of 7.50.
With the exception of the 4-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Liverpool in December, Leicester have not lost a home match with Ndidi in the squad, making the Super Eagles’ holding midfielder one of the leading stars when it comes to making top marks in front of their club’s fans.
Joining Ndidi, Grealish and de Bruyne in the list are Martin Dubravka (Newcastle United) in goal, Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City), James Tarkowski (Burnley), (Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) and Lucas Digne (Everton) named in defence, with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as the pointman, flanked by Liverpool’s pair of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
