Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has received a price tag of £45m from his club, as The Foxes are now considering the possibility of accepting a formal bid from Paris Saint-Germaine of France, who are reportedly keen on signing the Super Eagles star this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although Leicester had initially expressed a strong desire to keep Ndidi beyond this summer’s transfer window, The Foxes now appear leaning to the possibility of cashing in on the former racing Genk of Belgium battler on account of lost finances during the coronavirus pandemic.
An update provided by Sports Mole senior reporter, Darren Plant disclosed that Ndidi is now a very strong potential transfer target for PSG this summer, considering his top form for The Foxes this season, which appears to be his best since his arrival at King Power Stadium from Genk in 2017.
The report adds: “Ndidi has only emerged as a key man for the Foxes this season, helping the club into third place in the Premier League standings. However, while having over four years left on his contract leaves Leicester in a strong position regarding his future, the Nigerian is inevitably attracting interest from elsewhere.
“According to ESPN, PSG are considering whether to make a bid for the 23-year-old during the next window. Although Leicester are keen to keep Ndidi at the King Power Stadium, it is unclear whether the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has changed their stance in the market. The East Midlands outfit would demand in excess of £45m for the central midfielder.”
This comes admits emerging information that PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo is focusing on a move for Ndidi, as the Brazilian icon is in the market for a new midfield addition this summer for the French Ligue 1 champions.
While has been casting a wide net for the acquisition of his choice player, Leonadrdo has also put his sight on Chelsea midfielder, Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is on-loan with Ligue 1 rivals, AS Monaco, but his latest big target is now Ndidi.
This much has been confirmed by another media outlet, RMC, whose reporter, Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Leonardo favours signing the Super Eagles’ star, and wrote on social media: “If PSG really like Wilfried Ndidi? Much more Ndidi than Bakayoko for PSG – that I can assure you.”
