Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi is still cast in doubt ahead of his team’s next match in the English Premier League, as The Foxes’ gaffer, Brendan Rodgers says the player may miss this Friday’s fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers, megasportsarena.com gathered.
The chances of Ndidi being part of Leicester’s squad for the Valentine Day fixture at Molineux appear very slim, as Rodgers admitted that the former Racing Genk of Belgium star has to be rested, despite recently storming back to action less than two weeks after going for surgery.
However, Ndidi appeared to suffer a relapse after that heroic move, as the Super Eagles’ star has missed his side’s last two matches and is still struggling to overcome a knee problem that has now rated him doubtful for The Foxes trip to battle Wolves this Friday.
Incidentally, Ndidi had been positioned to start Leicester’s last match before the winter break, but he was eventually ruled out that clash against Chelsea after feeling discomfort in his knee, which his coach has now disclosed is still the reason behind the lad’s very likely absence in their first game back from the first ever mid-season halt in the English Premier League.
Rodgers expatiated: “Wilfred Ndidi is probably going to be doubtful for this game. He came back very, very quickly and played in the West Ham and Aston Villa games, but it was just a little reaction to his operation. We’ll see how he is.”
