Inter Milan of Italy winger, Victor Moses is at the crossroads, over his chances of extending his stay at The Nerazzurri of eventually returning to his parent club, Chelsea of England, megasportsarena.com reports.
Latest reports swirling round the former Super Eagles’ star indicate that he is currently down the pecking order at Inter, but Chelsea are also not keen on having him back this summer, thereby leaving the former England youth international in a quandary over his next line of action.
However, things have been made even tighter for him with additional reports indicating that Inter are set to buy another rival, thereby further limiting his chances of getting necessary minutes under his boots should he decide to stay put at The San Siro at the end of this season.
Details of the report by La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Inter are ready to negotiate with Barcelona of Spain over the possibility of buying Nelson Semedo, in a likely makeshift to back up the chances of Lautaro Martinez’s proposed move from The Nerazzurri to Camp Nou.
If Semedo arrives Inter Milan, the Portugal international could replace Moses as right-wing-back in the club’s Italian coach, Antonio Conte’s preferred 3-5-2 formation, which means they may not even look at their purchase option of ten million euros for a signing of the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic winger, who previously played on loan from Chelsea at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United in England as well as at Fernebahce of Turkey.
Inter are under no obligation to trigger the clause that would see Moses stay with them in a full contract, as the former Eagles’ star has been playing second fiddle to Antonio Candreva since he joined Inter in January, starting only one game in the Serie A, before suffering an injury.
The 29-year-old former England youth international, who remains under the present setting at Stamford Bridge Chelsea’s joint-longest serving player, is tied to The Blues until June 2021, but the London club could be willing to let him go this summer, considering his recent injury and fitness struggles, which curtailed his excellence at Fernebahce and have resurfaced in Milan.
