RB Salzburg of Germany’s Nigerian-born youngster, Karim Adeyemi has been valued at a transfer fee of €40m, which Real Madrid of Spain will now have to pay in order to snatch him next year, megasportsarena.com reports.
With Los Blancos thinking seriously about snatching the Germany youth international from Salzburg’s grip in the January transfer window, the Red Bull-sponsored side now aim to reap a profit on his sale.
This comes sequel to widespread reports across Europe that Madrid are stepping up their interest in Adeyemi, who is now ranked among the hottest transfer prospects heading into the next window.
A report by Sky Deutschland adds: “Adeyemi’s minders have held talks with Bayern Munich in recent days as Salzburg become increasingly resigned to being forced to sell him over the New Year.
“Real Madrid have also intensified their interest as the club’s football directors spy the chance to sign Adeyemi at an affordable price before his profile explodes.
“Salzburg are seeking to kickoff the auction at a starting price of €40m. Along with Adeyemi, Real Madrid are keen on his teammate Benjamin Sesko.”
In response to the report, Adeyemi admitted he is thrilled with so much frenzy spreading round him, but restated his loyalty for now with Salzburg.
With additional reports also indicating that Liverpool of England and Bayern Munich of Germany are also interested in him, the youngster, who scored in his side’s UEFA Champions League 3-1 victory over Vfl Wolfsburg, said he is honoured but staying focused.
Adeyemi told Heute: “I’m very relaxed about it. I feel honoured, but nothing more. I have my focus here at Salzburg.
“First of all, I want to progress with Salzburg. Then we’ll look further. We play well together. It works perfectly.”
