Kaduna-born youngster, Atto Abbas has admitted he would give everything in his burgeoning career to ensure he gets a deal this summer with RB Leipzig of Germany, as he aims to start showcasing his talent in the German Bundesliga, megasportsarena.com reports.
Having already cemented his place in the reserves’ squad at Kasimpasa of Turkey, the 21-year-old attacker believes he has come of age and is now looking for a massive career breakthrough with the German club that already has Nigerian-born winger, Ademola Lookman on their cards.
The versatile youngster, who can plays as a winger, central midfielder and attacking midfielder, reflected on his early days with S.M.C. Youth of Kaduna, from where he joined the reserve team in Kasimpasa, but he is now knocking on the door of Leipzig, after attracting the club this season.
Although his progression into the main team in Turkey has been held back by paperwork and the coronavirus pandemic, Abbas is said to have attracted serious interest from Leipzig, but the youngster admits moving to Germany would depend on Kasimpasa’s willingness to let him go.
Despite acknowledging the odds and obstacles facing him in his march forward, Abbas declared that he is ambitious to take his fledgling European career move on to higher levels, as he has a burning desire to play for a big European club in the coming months and eventually take his fast-growing career to the top level internationally and for his country’s national team, Super Eagles.
Abbas submitted: “I see myself playing for one of the best teams in Europe in the next five years and doing amazing things. My desire is to get to the top, to work hard for what I want to be and make every opportunity very useful. I have played soccer all my life.”
