Former Super Eagles’ attacker, John Chukwudi Utaka has disclosed that he is currently in the process of getting his coaching license, as he moves to formalize his recent appointment as a tactician in the youth academy at Montpellier of France, megasportsarena.com reports.
Utaka ‘The Attacker,’ who was recently was named youth team coach at the club he last played for in France, revealed to that he has enrolled for formal training that will eventually lead to him earning a coaching license and enthused that he will soon get his badge.
After spending two seasons with Montpellier, with an initial two-and-a-half years’ spell running from 2011 to 2013 seeing him help La Paillade win their first-ever top-flight title in the 2011/12 season, Utaka is now looking to aid another shade of glory for the club as a coach.
Although he is currently starting out with their under-19 team is thinking big for the future, in which he hopes to play a key technical role in the main squad, even as he expressed delight and excitement with the new challenge he has been saddled with, for which he is already working on becoming a fully accredited and certified coach.
Utaka told AOIFootball.com: “I’m super excited about this new challenge. I can’t wait to get started. I am also in the process of getting my coaching badge.”
