Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has been cited as a major threat for Frank Onyeka’s Brentford Town in this weekend’s English Premier League clash, megasportsarena.com reports.
This is the verdict of Onyeka’s coach, Thomas Frank, who noted that the fiery form Iheanacho has unleashed in recent games makes him a potential killjoy for Sunday’s fixture.
Iheanacho has either scored or assisted in each of his last five games in all competitions for The Foxes, as he netted against Millwall in the Carabao Cup and versus Crystal Palace in the EPL, then provided assists against Burnley, Manchester United and Spartak Moscow.
On the backdrop of stunning form from the former Columbus Crew of USA and Manchester City of England star, Frank went on to name the UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist and most valuable player as one of three threats to watch on Sunday.
Although Onyeka’s coach is also holding aloft huge statistics that have already been pooled in by his side in what it turning out to be a very heroic maiden run in the English top-flight, he is still wary of the potent quality that Iheanacho holds alongside Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka.
While citing the trio as the lethal lads to watch out on the side of The Foxes, Frank is also thinking of his team’s chances of repeating their historic victories over Arsenal and West Ham United as well as a point taken off Liverpool.
However, Leicester have returned to form before their visit to Brentford Community Stadium, largely due to the performances of Iheanacho, Vardy and Daka, such that the tactician from Denmark is quick to admit that he and his players must be watchful all through Sunday’s tie.
Frank added: “Of course, we have followed him (Daka) especially leading into this game, we know he is a player we need to be very aware of.
“But let’s see what he is doing, Brendan, for the game on Sunday if it’s going to be Vardy and Iheanacho or Daka. We don’t know.
“We are prepared for all three of them and they have so much quality and threat going forward that we need to be aware of.”
