FC Midtjylland of Denmark midfielder, Frank Onyeka has come under consideration for a possible move to Brentford Town of England, following talks between a top shot of the English Premier League outfit and an analyst in the Scandinavian country.
The report out of Queensland reveals that Onyeka became the topic of discussions between the pundit and Brentford’s director of football, Rasmus Ankersen, who admitted he is impressed with the former Super Eagles’ invitee’s potentials in the summer transfer window.
This comes after Onyeka started all six matches played by Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League and showed off his tackling abilities in the middle of the pack, all of which were highlighted by the Brentford buff during a three-hour chat-and-joke with the analyst.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that talk about Onyeka also caught the fancy of The Bees’ supporters, who were amazed with the down-to-earth verdict about Onyeka from Ankersen, who also works for Midtjylland, which the Nigerian youngster joined in 2016.
Relationships between Brentford and the Danish club are bound to get tighter should a deal be worked out for Onyeka, who has a gentleman’s agreement in place for an exit from Midtjylland in the summer transfer window.
That came after Midtjylland prevented him from leaving last summer, because they needed him in the Champions League, but Ankersen has now hinted that Bretford could be the biggest gainers his time, though he admitted it is not so easy for players moving from Denmark to the EPL.
Onyeka could, however, take some optimism from The Bees’ top shots words, as Ankersen gave the midfield battler a vote of confidence and declared emphatically: “He’s a good player, where did you hear about him? It’s going to be a long, long conversation to have.”
