Sivaspor of Turkey defender, Elderson Uwa Echiejile has exprtesed happiness over his return to training with the Turkish Super Lig club, as he believes his injury woes are finally over.
Though Echiejile had initially been expected to resume action with the club last Sunday, the left-back, who is on loan from AS Monaco of France, could not pass a late fitness test, and is now aiming for his comeback this weekend.
This comes after Echiejile returned to training on Wednesday, following an injury layoff caused by a muscle injury during last month’s World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
The former Insurance of Benin City, Stade Rennes of France, Sporting Braga of Portugal and Standard Liege of Belgium star had been forced out of the crucial World Cup qualifier in Uyo on October 7 after 79 minutes with a muscle injury and doctors ruled him out for four weeks.
Before bowing out, the 29-year-old star had featured in seven league matches for his Turkish club, but his last appearance was on September 30 in a 3-1 home win over Antalyaspor.
However, Echiejile, who missed out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on account of a muscle injury, has announced his return to reckoning on his social media accounts, with a verdict that he is ready for top-flight action.
