Crystal Palace of England dazzler, Eberechi Eze has gained more superlatives from another football pundit, despite his inability to save his side from losing 2-1 away to Leicester City in the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com reports.
Eze fired blanks in 90 minutes of action at King Power Stadium on Monday, with his best effort of the night being the assist on a shock opening goal by Wilfried Zaha, but the dreadlocks-wearing Nigerian-born England international failed to hit target.
Despite his tam’s slump, Eze ended the night with seen points out of ten, which many observers felt was good enough a personal mark for him, and The Eagles’ former hitman, Clinton Morrison shares the same view.
The 22-year-old Eze has scored three goals and produced four assists in 30 EPL matches, including 25 starts, and Morison reckons that the former Queens Park Rangers of England lad is a superstar in the making.
The retired Republic of International added that he has been impressed by Eze’s good attitude and sterling displays, which he noted was again on offer from the England under-21 international in The Eagles’ loss to Leicester, against who he provided the assist for the opening goal netted by Zaha in the 12th minute.
It is also noteworthy that, since making his EPL debut on the opening day of the season, the lad with maverick touches on the ball, who has been deployed either as an attacking midfielder or a winger, has only missed two league games.
While affirming that Eze’s individual statistics show that he is key to all-round plans of the Eagles’ coach, Roy Hodgson, Morrison concluded that the youngster has had a brilliant campaign and he keeps justifying why Palace almost broke the bank to buy him from London-based rivals, QPR.
Morrison posited during Premier League Productions: “Eze has had a really good season. He’s been a really good signing from Queens Park Rangers, I think he’s going to be a superstar in the Premier League for many years.
“He works ever so hard and that’s what you have to do in Roy Hodgson’s team but going forward he can make things happen.”
