Dominic Solanke Is Prime Target For Newcastle

Newcastle United have made Bournemouth striker Dom Solanke a ‘priority’ ahead of the summer window – after a huge 30 goals this season. Bournemouth want as much as £38.5million, Megasportsarena.com understands.

Solanke, 24, was signed by Eddie Howe at Bournemouth in January 2019 and had been deemed a flop at the Vitality Stadium. It has taken relegation to the Championship for Solanke to finally find his shooting boots.

The England international scored 15 goals and created 11 last season, before smashing in an enormous 30 this time around. His goals have seen Bournemouth gain promotion back to the Premier League this season.

Scott Parker will want to keep Solanke given he is on fire and finally starting to show why Howe signed him from Liverpool. But Newcastle are expected to sign a striker – and Howe is said to want a reunion.

The report claims Newcastle have made the ex-Chelsea man a priority ahead of the summer window. However, they would have to spend big – a near-club record fee to bring the striker in – a whopping £38.5million.

Solanke has finally started to show why he was so highly rated, and taken to Liverpool from Chelsea. He has a huge future and at 24, he will want a crack at the Premier League. But would he get that at Newcastle?

Callum Wilson is fit again and Chris Wood has been crucial in keeping Newcastle up, even if he will have wanted more goals. Solanke might not start so perhaps, his best decision is to stay at Bournemouth this summer.
