Arsenal’s fast-rising Nigerian-born youngster, Bukayo Saka has found another angle added to his prospects in the summer transfer window, as top clubs in Italy and France are said to have watched him star in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, megasportsarena.com reports.
Saka turned out to be Arsenal’s hero and official man of the match in the encounter, as his assist helped Alexandre Lacazette get The Gunners’ only goal to win 1-0 away to Olympiakos of Greece at Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki in Piraeus.
The dark-skinned lad’s top performance in the Europa League round of 32 clash caught the eyes of scouts from Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli and AS Roma of Italy as well as Olympique Lyon, AS Monaco, Lille Metropole of France.
Also in the stands were observers from the English Premier League quintet of Leicester City, West Ham United, Sheffield United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United; all of who may now start thinking of their chance of upstaging Liverpool in the race to snatch Saka away from Emirates Stadium this summer.
This is sequel to rapidly spreading reports that several clubs in and outside England are already monitoring Saka’s situation, as his contract at Arsenal set to run out at the end of next season, but no new agreement has been reached with the winger-cum-left-back, who has two goals and nine assists to his name this season.
