Glasgow Rangers of Scotland duo, Joe Aribo and Sheyi Ojo will play at home in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League round of 32 clash with Sporting Braga of Portugal, following the draw that held on Monday in Nyon, Switzerland, megasportsarena.com reports.
While the draw sees Aribo and Ojo take on Braga at home, under-23 national team captain, Azubuike Okechukwu will visit Portugal with Istanbul Basaksehir of Turkey, as David Chidozie Okereke and Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure will play away to Manchester United of England with Club Brugge of Belgium, and Arsenal will face Olympiakos of Greece.
For the clash of Bonaventure and Okereke’s Club Brugge with United, who won the tournament in 2017, The Red Devils will travel to Belgium for the first leg on February 20, with the reverse fixture fixed for Old Trafford seven days later.
Brugge, who have an eight-point lead at the top of the Belgian top flight, were initially in the UEFA Champions League, but they finished third in Group A behind Paris Saint-Germain of France and Real Madrid of Spain, without winning any of their six matches.
Aribo and Ojo’s club’s fellow-Glasgow-based rivals and Scottish champions, Celtic are against FC Copenhagen of Denmark, Wolverhampton Wanderers of England play Espanyol of Spain, while last year’s beaten finalists, Arsenal travel to Greece to face Olympiakos, who placed third behind Bayern Munich of Germany and Tottenham Hotspur of England in their UCL group.
The Gers, who finished second in Group G behind Porto, return to Portugal to meet 2011 runners-up Braga, with the second leg to be played on Wednesday February 26 due to a clash with Porto’s second leg against Bayer Leverkusen, which takes place on Thursday February 27.
Braga finished above Wolverhampton in Group K but have struggled domestically and sit ninth in the Primeira Liga, while Wolves’ opponent, Espanyol qualified as Group H winners from the first round of the Europa League, but are currently bottom of La Liga.
