Everton of England midfielder, Alex Iwobi has disclosed how happy he feels being in the Nigerian national team camp and described it as a family atmosphere ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Cameroon.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, with the full ensemble of fit players now in camp, along with several rookies to boot, the former Arsenal of England playmaker declared that he feels exciting vibes every time he is in the Eagles’ fold.
He is now looking up excitedly towards Friday’s game against The Indomitable Lions, who the Eagles will again clash with on Tuesday at same venue.
Iwobi is one of the biggest names in the present Eagles’ squad mainly due to the fact that he has been playing in the English Premier League since 2015 and has several games under his boots in green-and-white
Iwobi, who was involved in the Eagles’ first training session in Austria on Tuesday, revealed: “It’s still a vibe, every time you go there it’s like you are linking up with your family, it’s so nice like you said there’s jollof rice, it’s a festival every time.
“As long as we are performing on the pitch it’s even better. It’s still like a party when you are playing football, they come, they swarm the pitch when we’re training.
“Even if it’s in London you still see there are so many turning out, like Barnet, people still come to the game so it’s like just mad, and playing for your country is always a mad feeling.”
