RB Salzburg of Austria youngster, Karim Adeyemi is facing a major blockade in his high hope of joining Borussia Dortmund of Germany, as his club’s hierarchy insist on a transfer fee of €45m, megasportsarena.com reports.
Information on offer from Salzburg indicates that the Red Bull-sponsored outfit are not keen on reducing their asking price for the Nigerian-born Germany youth international, as they aim to make a profit on him.
With Adeyemi’s current form keeping eyes popping globally and several clubs tumbling over one another in a wild rush for his signature, Salzburg appear on course to reap bountifully from his possible sale in the summer.
However, an updated report by German publication, BILD added that Salzburg have set a new deadline for a time frame within which they are ready to welcome moves from clubs that want Adeyemi to be sold.
The report further disclosed: “Borussia Dortmund are front runners to sign the 20-year-old, who has impressed for his club this season.
“While earlier reports suggested Dortmund were closing in on a deal and agreed personal terms with the player, the situation ‘keeps getting worse.’
“The club are stuck in a ‘transfer poker’ for the German international and face a deadline of April 17 (Easter Sunday) to get a deal wrapped up. They are also yet to meet Salzburg’s €45m (£38m) asking price.
“The article adds that Liverpool are among the clubs also interested in Adeyemi, as well as Barcelona and Bayern Munich and could make a move should Dortmund continue to stall.”
