Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen has promised to replicate his club form in the national team, starting with Friday night’s World Cup playoffs doubleheader against Ghana with the first leg in Kumasi.
Megasportsarena.com reports that 22-year-old’s club form has been electric, it has seen him score four goals in his last two league games for the Naples side and he’s so sure of victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“I am 100% confident because of the kind of quality players we have here and the kind of form we have put in with our various clubs; we want to bring this form to the national team.
“We know how important this two-legged game is for us and Nigerians, so the most important thing is to qualify for the World Cup,” Osimhen assures.
Osimhen is excited that the squad is blessed with goal scorers who will prove their mettle again on Friday night.
“I don’t set targets in terms of goal scoring, I just want to score as many goals as possible for the team when given the opportunity. Of course, we have the likes of Ighalo, Kelechi, and Chukwueze that can score the goals.
“We are a team; we have solidarity in the team and we are all ready to play our hearts to ensure we get the qualifying ticket
