Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has received a strong technical tip and amazing statistics that make him good enough to join English Premier League rivals, Chelsea this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
With Ndidi having been on top of his game once again in the immediate past campaign, during which he won the English FA Cup with Leicester and helped them reach the UEFA Europa League, the former Racing Genk of Belgium lad has been linked with several options in the summer.
Initial talk had been about the possibility of the Super Eagles’ holding midfielder moving to either Liverpool or Manchester City, but a report by Football.London has now suggested that Chelsea would be a better option for him.
The report went on to point out that The Blues should consider a move for Ndidi in the event of a failed bid to land Declan Rice, who is currently considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the English top-flight.
Rice’s high valuation, which is reportedly £80 million, might be too expensive for Chelsea to bear and Football. London has now named Ndidi among three candidates that should be cheaper and affordable for the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge.
Named alongside Ndidi are Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma and Juventus of Italy ace, Rodrigo Bentancur, with the Nigerian star weighing a daunting rate card of 4.34 tackles and 2.46 blocks per game, better than N’Golo Kante and Rice in two performance indicators.
