West Ham United have not made any progress regarding Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma, Megasportsarena.com understands.
The attacker, who plays on the left-hand side, was eager on a return to the Premier League.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Hammers are in advanced talks with Villarreal for a transfer.
However, they have failed to agree personal terms with Danjuma.
At present, the transfer is off, but that may change if Danjuma lowers his wage demands.
West Ham may move on to other targets if a deal cannot be struck in the coming days.
Danjuma, who has been capped six times by Holland, joined Villarreal from the Cherries in 2021 in a deal worth up to £19m.
He had an excellent season in La Liga, scoring 11 goals in 23 matches, and in the Champions League he scored six goals in 11 matches.
