Tuesday Premier League Action: Iwobi’s Assist, Olise Graceful, Aribo Decent

Alex Iwobi continued his good form and got his second assist of the season as Everton were held to a 1-1 draw, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The Toffees took a 17th-minute lead through Anthony Gordon, who calmly finished past Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier after running on to Alex Iwobi’s through ball on 55 minutes.

Tuesday’s result means Everton have failed to win any of their five opening Premier League games (three draws and two defeats).

Joe Aribo was introduced on the hour mark of Southampton’s 2-1 comeback win against Chelsea at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Aribo helped the Saints hold on to their lead and seal a first home win of the season and Saints also ended their Chelsea hoodoo in the process.

Raheem Sterling put Chelsea 1-0 ahead in the 23rd minute but Romeo Lavia equalized for Southampton on 28 minutes.

Frank Onyeka had his second appearance in the Premier League for Brentford this season as the Bees held Crystal Palace to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.

Onyeka was introduced in the 68th minute with Brentford trailing Palace after Wilfried Zaha’s beautiful opener.

Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise started for Crystal Palace who were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford.

Olise made his first start of the season for Palace after returning from injury with his  impact felt duration the match. Impressive Olise curled an effort off the post after cutting in from the right. Ut it struck the upright, he also had another effort by the goalkeeper. Olise was rated 8/10 in the game while Eze was average 5/5.

Tosin Adarabioyo also had a good game as Fulham bounced back from their weekend loss to Arsenal with a 2-1 home win against Brighton at Craven Cottage.

Aleksandar Mitrovic grabbed his fifth goal of the season to help Fulham end Brighton’s unbeaten start to the campaign.

Mitrovic ghosted in at the back post to break the deadlock three minutes into the second half with his 100th league goal for Fulham, and a second swiftly followed for Marco Silva’s side when Lewis Dunk put through his own net (55).
