Tammy Abraham Won’t Be Joining Arsenal In The Summer

0

Despite claims that Arsenal are interested in signing Tammy Abraham from AS Roma a season after he joined them, the English striker may be going nowhere, Megasportsarena.com has scooped.

The 24-year-old, who scored the capital city’s only goal yesterday to push them into the Europa Conference League final, is enjoying himself in Italy, where he has become the star of the show in Rome under José Mourinho and may not be thinking of leaving Stadio Olimpico now.

Tammy has scored 15 goals in 34 Serie A appearances this season, as well as picked up four assists, which are stats Arsenal could do with up front.

Having already lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January and potentially about to see Alexandre Lacazette leave on a free, the Gunners are going to need a new goalscorer this summer.

Abraham has been pushed as a potential option for Arsenal, with Calciomercato.it saying Mikel Arteta’s side have ‘moved with insistence’ on him.

The website, however, state he has ‘no intention of moving’, and Roma ‘take no idea into consideration other than the one of keeping him’.

Despite Chelsea having a clause to buy him back set at €80m in 2023, the belief is he has already reached that mark, and could be worth even more in the near future.

That’s why there are already ‘internal talks and strategies underway’ to find a way to keep him beyond that at a point when the Blues ‘will have defined their new corporate structure’.

This means Arsenal, if they were aiming for the England international, will likely have to look elsewhere for a new goalscorer.
