Returnee Dijon of France striker, Desire Oparanozie netted the game’s lone goal from a free-kick in the 16th minute, thereby making the best of her first appearance for the Falcons in two years.
Ebere Orji, Ngozi Okobi and Chiamaka Nnadozie also returned to action with the team for the first time since missing out since October 2019 for various reasons.
Another milestone in Friday’s game saw Leicester City Ladies of England defender, Ashleigh Plumptre get a maiden appearance for the nine-time African champions along with USA-based goalkeeper, Yewande Balogun.
Friday’s match in Vienna was a wrap up test match for the Falcons, following their eight-day camping exercise meant to prepare them for the upcoming Aisha Buhari International Invitational Competition scheduled to hold in Lagos in September.
