Chukwueze bowed out of action with The Yellow Submarine two weeks back and appeared set for a long spell on the sidelines, but the UEFA Europa League finalists have sensationally cleared him for the big game next Wednesday and then with the Eagles in June.
This is sequel to an update from The Land of The Armada, which revealed that Chukwueze has already got the nod from his club to tar for the Eagles against Cameroon on June 4 in Austria and a second game at same venue on June 8.
Senegal had earlier been touted as a possible opponent for the Eagles, have the West African nation has already scheduled a match against Zambia on June 8th, but Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have lined up another country for that date, after which the team will the three-time African champions will also face Mexico in another friendly on July 3.
However, despite the clean bill of health handed Chukwueze, Villarreal’s coach, Unai Emery has disclosed that the left-footed winger will not feature in Saturday’s Spanish LaLiga clash against Real Madrid, thereby marking a longer spell out for the youngster, who has not played since he copped a hamstring injury against Arsenal in the Europa League semi-finals.
Chukwueze is now racing against time in order to be fit for Villarreal’s final game of the season, when they face Manchester United in the Europa League final next Wednesday, ahead of which the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup revelation, who started ten of 14 matches for Villarreal in Europe, with a goal and four assists to show, has resumed individual training.
Emery stated: “We had Vicente Iborra who, after a long injury, we are happy to have him with the group but he will not be there either. Then we have the evolution of Chukwueze, who is going better but he is not with the group.”
