Almeria forward Sadiq Umar says he has outgrown LaLiga2 and he’s ready to play at a higher level, even potentially with Ameria if they gain promotion to La Liga, Megasportsarena.com reports.
With 35 goals in 67 league appearances, Sadiq is ready to take the next step in his career. “Yes. Though it is good to be playing week in week out. It makes me grow as a player. My mission is to make my team promote to La Liga this season and we will see what will happen next.”
Sadiq is currently fourth in the league’s goalscorer charts with 15 which has helped Almeria sit one point off table toppers Elche.
“Yes I’m always glad when we win games like that and me contributing to my team means a lot. My job on the pitch is to score goals,” Sadiq continued.
“It gives me great pleasure, but the most important is the team’s result in every game. It would mean a lot for us as a team to win the Segunda title. That is our goal and now we are in a good position contending for the title. Although, we still have a lot of games to play.”
