SSC Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen will enter this summer’s transfer window with a purchase price of €100m on his signature, following a sharp decision reached by his club’s management, megasportsarena.com reports.
With top teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United of England as well as Real Madrid of Spain said to be in the hunt for the youngster’s signature, Napoli have moved swiftly in placing a steep valuation over his head.
In effect, United, Arsenal, Madrid and all other suitors will be startled to learnt that they will have to have to pay €100m (£83m) if they wish to sign Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen during this summer’s transfer window.
A report by Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport revealed that Real view Osimhen as a credible alternative to Borussia Dortmund of Germany sensation, ‘s Erling Braut Haaland, who continues to be linked with both Manchester City and Barcelona.
The report added: “The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for his Italian club this season, scoring 15 times and registering four assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
“Osimhen’s future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with a number of clubs believed to be keen to sign him in the upcoming market.
“Man United and Real Madrid are two of the teams to be credited with an interest, but Napoli want €100m (£83m) for the Nigeria international.
“Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool are also keen on Osimhen, who still has more than three years left to run on his current contract.
“The Nigerian has scored 25 goals and registered seven assists in 55 appearances for Napoli since joining the Serie A giants from Lille in September 2020.”
