Sporting Charleroi of Belgium sensation, Victor Osimhen is now facing a huge dilemma over his next port of call, as AC Milan and Atalanta of Italy as well as Lille Metropole of France are all keen on buying him outright this summer.
Although Charleroi had to prise away Osimhen from his parent club, VfL Wolfsburg with €3.5m, following his stunning form with them while on loan, megasportsarena.com learnt that the Belgian side appear ready to sell him immediately.
That has attracted Atalanta, who are now showing more zeal than the duo of Milan and Lille in their bid to snatch the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer away this month.
A major newspaper in Belgium, La Dernière Heure reports that Osimhen would become the most expensive signing ever at Atalanta should the deal pull through.
Another publication, Les Sports adds that the offer has captured the attention of Osimhen and Charleroi, who are prepared to lose one of their important players of the past season for the right money on the table.
Consequently, Osimhen now appears set to commit his immediate days in the round leather game to a stint at Atalanta Bergamo, despite initial reports that he was most likely to join Milan.
However, with Milan said to be thinking of sending him on loan to Lille, once they sign him from Charleroi, Osinhem and his minders might be of a view that going to Atalanta would be better, especially as they have put a bid worth €15m on the table.
That would be a huge profit for the profit for the Belgian First Division A club, which only last weekend ignited their purchase option in the loan deal that brought Osinhem in from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2018.
Another bait touted by Atalanta is that they will feature in next season’s UEFA Champions League, which Osimhen’s camp find more than alluring.
