Remo Stars continue their winning and unblemished run in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) following their 2-1 win against homers Wikki Tourists on Sunday, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The enterprising Remo side raced to a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Dayo Ojo, who opened scoring on 10 minutes and Abdullahi Oyedele who doubled the advantage in the 63rd minutes of the match.
Adamu Salisu however pulled a goal back for Wikki with 15 minutes left on the clock but it was a little too late for the home side.
Goals from Nyima Nwangwa (32 minutes), Rafiu Kayode (penalty, 51 minutes) and Chidiebude Duru (55 minutes) gave Rivers United a comfortable 3-0 win against Kwara United to put them in second place in the league table.
Enugu Rangers climbed to third on the table following a three nil hiding of MFM of Lagós in Enugu, with Tope Olusesi and Martin Ossy hitting target .
In other games, Plateau United annihilated visiting Dakkada of Uyo 5-0 in Jos while Abia Warriors pipped Heartland 1-0 in a derby match in Umuahia.
Kano Pillars also pipped Niger Tornadoes 1-0, Enyimba held Gombe to a 0-0 draw in away encounter, Nasarawa Pipped Lobi 2-1 while Sunshine held Shooting Stars to a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
