Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia attacker, Ahmed Musa has expressed a deep level of satisfaction over his ability to emerged victorious with the club in the Saudi Super League, and admits he cherishes being a champion.
Musa stated as much after his side beat Al Batin to be crowned winners of Saudi Arabia Pro League title this season, with 70 points, and pipped Al Hilal by just a point, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although he played on 63 minutes of the decisive game, Musa, who scored seven league goals in 24 appearances in helping The Knights of Najd win the title, the Super Eagles’ stand-in captain says it is a huge achievement for him, less than a year after he joined the club.
Indeed, the ex-Kano Pillars, VV Van Venlo of Holland and CSKA Moscow of Russia fleet-footed winger-cum-striker has garnered his first piece of silverware with Al-Nassr, after arriving from Leicester City of England in August 2018.
Next up for Musa, who could not add to his haul of seven league goals, is victory against Zob Ahan of Iran on Tuesday, May 21 for their last group fixture of the AFC Champions League.
Before then, Musa is savoring the joy of the moment, as he took to social media to reveal himself posing with the league trophy at King Fahd International Stadium, and simply declared: “Champions.”
