FC Nantes of France attacker, Moses Simon has sent out a formal good-bye message to his pals and fans at Levante of Spain, following his successful acquisition of a full contract with the French Ligue 1 club he played with on loan this season, megasportsarena.com reports.
He stated delight after sealing a four-year deal that officially ties him to Nantes from Levante and he will now have the opportunity to continue his impressive performances in Christian Gourcuff’s team after he was named The Canary’s squad of the Season 2019/20.
Several solid performances, a regular spot in their starting line-up and nine goals to his name saw Simon emerge as Nantes’ player of the season as well as winner of the team’s best goal of the campaign, and the club promptly rewarded the former SK Trencin of Slovakia and KAA Gent of Belgium winger-cum-attacker with a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old winger made the best of his loan spell at Nantes this past season in France, but the Super Eagles star may not feature for ‘The Canaries’ next season, as reports indicate that they are ready to sell him for a huge profit after triggering the clause to buy him for 5m Euros.
The purchase option agreed between both clubs became mandatory once Simon played 25 official matches and scored 10 goals, but Nantes still managed to pull off the deal though the player could not fulfill the second condition because the season was suspended in France.
While saying good-bye to Levante, the Kaduna-born crafty winger, who was a member of the Flying Eagles’ squad to New Zealand 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, added that he s grateful to the players, coaches, officials and fans of the club for making his stay successful and remarkable during the season that was recently cancelled on account of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
He promised to always keep everyone he left behind at Levante in his mind, as admitted having many wonderful days during his stay with the Spanish LiLiga side, which he also thanked for the opportunity they gave him to build several fond memories in another chapter of his career.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medalist took to social media to reveal his thoughts on his successful signing with Levante, whose officials and coaches he thanked for making the deal possible, even as he enthused that he will have better days coming his way when he lines out for his first full campaign with the squad next term.
Simon stated in his post: “I want to use this opportunity to formally say goodbye to everybody at @LevanteUD D fans, Technical crew, Management and my Teammates for the love nd acceptance you guys will always be in my heart. To my new family @fcnantes. Cheers to more better things to come by the grace of God.”
