Manchester City of England youngster, Lukas Nmecha has received a mouth-watering €12m offer to join RB Leipzig of Germany this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
The lad with a Nigerian father is eligible to play for Germany through his mother, which has led to keen interest coming his way from Leipzig.
The German Bundesliga outfit now aim to put their thoughts into action by making a solid move for him before the summer transfer window slams shut.
Subsequently, the Leipzig-based side have now launched a frontal bid for Nmecha, who could make the move this summer in a deal worth up to €12m (£10.3m).
Information out of Deutschland revealed that Up to five German clubs have registered their interest in the 22-year-old Nmecha, who is set to leave The Etihad this summer, after he scored four goals at the recent European U-21 Championship.
VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt also known admirers of the lad, while a report by Manchester Evening News added that Leipzig are claiming to have won the race for him, but City sources say no bids have yet been received.
Belgian football journalist Sacha Tavolieri added: “Nmecha, 22, is a target for the Bundesliga club after his successful season on loan at Anderlecht of Belgium.
“Nmecha scored 21 goals in 41 appearances for Vincent Kompany’s side, attracting attention from across Europe. He only has one year left on his current contract at City, hence the relatively modest fee.”
