Chelsea of England outcast, Ike Ugbo is facing daunting odds and a mammoth hurdle in his desire to quit The Blues, as top shots at the London-based English Premier League club are not ready to let him go for cheap.
Although Ugbo is yet to get a single full season playing under the spotlight at Stamford Bridge, as he has been loaned out severally, the Nigerian-born lad is not finding it easy in his desire to leave on a full transfer.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, rather than allow him leave once and for all, The Blues are looking to cash on recent form unleashed by the youngster during his most recent time on loan last season at Cercle Brugge of Belgium.
As the stalemate lingers over his next port of call and line of action, Ugbo has resumed training with Chelsea’s stars at Cobham, following their 6-1 mauling of English Championship newcomers, Peterborough United in a behind-closed-doors friendly last weekend.
The 22-year-old Ugbo, who featured in the friendly against Peterborough as a second half substitute, was among the players at Monday’s session, despite speculation linking him with a departure from Stamford Bridge.
This also comes amidst reports linking him with a move to RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, as The Purple & White are said to be considering a move for Ugbo as a replacement for Albert Lokonga, who joined Arsenal of England on Monday for £18m.
Incidentally, with PSV Eindhoven of Netherlands and Racing Genk of Belgium both being touted as frontrunners for Ugbo’s signature, Chelsea are thinking of getting a huge profit on the hugely underachieving attacker, who has been on their cards for 14 years, since he was aged under 10.
