Leicester City attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho is bound to face another big obstacle in his desperate search for regular appearances with the club , as The Foxes are said to be in the hunt for a sensation from Zimbabwe, who is currently setting the English fourth-tier league on fire.
While Iheanacho tumbled to an all-time low when he failed to convert a late golden chance that could have helped his side draw with Manchester City in a crucial English Premier League fixture last month, the new lad on the radar, who is set to rival the Super Eagles star for a spot in The Foxes’ attack, Macauley Bonne is on top of his game with Leyton Orient.
Megasportsarena.com further gathered that Bonne has now attracted interest from Leicester and a couple of other clubs in the English Premier League, after the Zimbabwe international helped The O’s win promotion to League Two with 23 league goal.
Iheanacho, though, might have a respite along the line, as additional reports indicate that Leicester may end up losing their bid for the Zimbabwe kid, who is also said to be wanted by a horde of clubs in the lower cadre English Championship.
TalkSport adds that Charlton Athletic, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United are also all interested in Bonne, who is reported to have a £200,000 release clause.
Added to this is a startling report that Leicester are favourites to sign Dutch icon, Arjen Robben on a free transfer when he leaves Bayern Munich of Germany this month.
Robben will leave Bayern upon the expiry of his contract this summer, and his final appearance could come in the German Cup final against RB Leipzig this weekend.
Iheanacho should worry, after a flurry of bets placed with bookmakers indicated that Leicester are 2/1 favourites to be his next destination, ahead of his former club in Holland, PSV Eindhoven.
