Odion Ighalo wrapped up the 2021-22 Saudi Professional League season on a high note with a hat-trick in Al Hilal’s 4-2 triumph over Al Ahli on Friday.
Ighalo scored three first-half goals while Mali striker Moussa Marega secured the emphatic home result for Ramon Diaz’s men.
The first half hat-trick took his tally to seven in six league appearances since joining Al Hilal from Al Shabab.
Ighalo’s form will delight the Super Eagles coaching crew as they get set for the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana.
He is expected to join the Super Eagles camp on Sunday night.
Ighalo tops the Saudi Pro League scorer’s chart with 19 goals in 24 league matches this season.
