0

The Super Falcons are still the top ranked women’s team in Africa and 39th in the world according to the monthly FIFA Ranking released on Friday, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The Nigerian national team who are favourites to win the Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations holding in July in Morocco continue to dominate the scene on the continent.

Cameroon, South Africa, Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire complete the Top 5 in Africa.

The top three in the world remain unchanged. USA (1st, -) lead the way from Sweden (2nd, -) and France (3rd, -), though there is a change just below. Beaten by Serbia (36th, +2) in an Australia/New Zealand 2023 qualifier, Germany (5th, -1) drop down to fifth, allowing Netherlands (4th, +1) to jump ahead of them.

The only other notable changes in the top 20 are one-place drops for Korea Republic (18th, -1) and Switzerland (20th, -1) and one-place rises for Iceland (17th, +1) and Belgium (19th, +1).

To find the highest climber, you need to look outside the top 100, where St. Kitts and Nevis have risen a whole eight places (130th, +8).
