Chelsea of England youth team striker, Faustino Anjorin is drawing immense transfer attention from Borussia Dortmund of Germany and five clubs n the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although the Nigerian-born lad s yet to cement his place in The Blues’ man team he has been knocking on the door of promotion at Stamford Bridge such that summer transfer interest coming his way could be due reward for his efforts so far this season.
Consequently, a report by allnigeriasoccer.com reveals that Dortmund are in a race against time with five EPL clubs, as they see to outdo one another in frenetic efforts to snatch the Nigerian-born attacker-cum-midfielder, who has wowed fans and analysts in recent years.
The race is now stiffer, ahead of a possible swoop for Anjorin’s signature this summer, as the England under-19 international is already being rated as one of the most exciting prospects of the moment at Chelsea’s academy, and has already played twice for the first team this season, as he featured against Grimsby Town in the League Cup and Everton in the Premier League.
In contrast with the lone interest from Dortmund n Germany, Liverpool and Arsenal are among the suitors circling for the Chelsea youngster, who has also impressed at under-23 level and is reportedly keen on making the move this summer, in search of better playing time elsewhere.
Although the 18-year-old is sad to be in the thoughts of Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, his current deal runs out in 2021 and he may be contemplating his next move, such that offers at Liverpool and Arsenal could tempt him away, even as he is also said to be attracting the eyes of three other EPL clubs, Manchester United, Manchester City and Norwich City.
All this is coming in the wake of stunning form from Anjorin before the season was halted by coronavirus, as he hit nine goals and assists in 11 Premier League 2 matches he played for The Blues and got a chance with the first team, as a sub during their 4-0 win over Everton in March.
The report by allnigerasoccer.com adds: “With the professional contract signed by Anjorin in November 2018 expiring in June 2021, the Blues have offered him a new multi-year contract and everything indicates that he will commit his future to the club.
“Manchester City have officially watched Anjorin the most in the 2019-2020 season, attending youth team games involving the Anglo-Nigerian teenager. Manchester United have also scouted the highly-rated youngster tipped for big things, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Norwich City are the other Premier League clubs observing him.
“German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are keeping close tabs on Anjorin and one of their scouts ran the rule over the versatile midfielder before the coronavirus outbreak. He has played nonstop at Chelsea since officially joining the club at U9 level.”
