New signing at Saint-Étienne Female Club of France, Ether Okoronkwo has declared that her target with the team is to score as many goals as possible and helped them to a great height of glory, megasportsarena.com reports.
The Nigerian female national team, Super Eagles’ striker added during her unveiling by the newly-promoted French Feminine Division 1 club that she wants to create a better impact than she had at her former team, Lamar Lady Cardinals of USA.
The Falcons’ rookie, who made her international debut in Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Jamaica during the USMT Summer Series in June, is also aiming to bring to bear additional experience she gained from previously playing at two other clubs in America, Northeast Texas Eagles and Foster Falcons.
Okoronkwo, who has been handed jersey number three and could make her competitive debut for Jérôme Bonnet’s team against Bordeaux on the opening day of the season on August 28, affirmed: “I am very happy to join ASSE. It is a first experience in Europe.
“I am very excited to start this season in D1 Arkema. My goal is necessarily to score as many goals as possible, but collectively , I am first and foremost keen to get along well with my teammates in the field.”
