Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze may end up missing out on an opportunity of joining Liverpool of England this summer, as a survey on impending deals in the coming month has cast doubt over credence in a deal for the Super Eagles’ rookie.
While Chukwueze has also been touted with a link to Manchester City and Arsenal, with several hefty figures being bandied round about his transfer clause at Villarreal, a survey by Team Talk hinted that it may all end without the youngster pulling of a switch to England.
The poignant survey admits that the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist and third highest goals scorer has been a revelation this season with The Yellow Submarine in La Liga, but stressed along the line that he could jolly well end up staying put at his present base.
Megasportsarena.com can report that, while citing Chukwueze among players being tipped to join Liverpool this summer, Team Talk concluded with a terse verdict that the deft touch left-footed youngster may not end up moving to Anfield after all.
The write-up read in part: “Players interested in: Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal), David Neres (Ajax), Maxi Gomez (Celta Vigo), Nicolas Pepe (Lille).
“Liverpool are set to discontinue their pursuit of Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez in a bid to prioritise signing young players capable of giving those in the first team a run for their money.
“According to reports, Jurgen Klopp has his sights set on Ajax’s David Neres and Villareal’s Samuel Chukwueze.
“The German tactician is said to also be interested in Lille star Nicolas Pepe. Their interest in Gomez, though, at this point can be said to be non-existent.
“The Reds will continue to be linked with players this summer as they look to improve on their second placed Premier League finish.
“However, it is more likely they will sign only one or two of the above. Likelihood: Not all of these players will arrive at Anfield.”
