Former Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is set to re-join Cardiff as they continue their major summer overhaul, reports Megasportsarena.com.
The former England under-21 winger joins fellow Nigeria-born Jamilu Collins, who moved from SC Paderborn of Germany in May, in the Welsh capital.
Ojo has undergone a medical and is set to sign a three-year deal, becoming Cardiff’s 11th signing of a busy transfer window for manager Steve Morison and the Welsh outfit.
The 25 year-old will join on a free after leaving Liverpool this summer at the end of his contract.
Ojo will be a name familiar to City supporters, of course, having enjoyed a positive loan spell in the Welsh capital in the 2020/21 season, during which he registered five goals and seven assists in 42 appearances.
He played as a conventional winger under Neil Harris before being moved to a second-striker role alongside Kieffer Moore under Mick McCarthy.
Ojo left Liverpool at the end of the season as a free agent, having failed to really break into the first team under Jurgen Klopp. He spent last year on loan at Millwall. He has also had stints at Wigan, Wolves, Fulham, Reims and Rangers.
