Arsenal of England youth team player, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji had the opportunity of training with The Gunners’ main team ahead of this weekend’s London derby with Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com reports.
Butler-Oyedeji has been knocking frenetically on the door of Arsenal’s main team since the fading weeks of last season, such that he could jolly well get the opportunity of lining out alongside fellow-youth team graduates, Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun this weekend.
Details of the report out of Emirates Stadium indicated that the Nigerian-born lad got enough minutes under his boots with the main squad on Friday, as Arsenal stepped up preparations for the eagerly anticipated match against Spurs.
Their last training session before the game held at London Colney on Friday afternoon, with several highlights revealing Butler-Oyedeji, as the pacy winger, who is blessed with immense dribbling skills got into full swing with the seniors.
The 18-year-old Butler-Oyedeji, who signed his first professional contract at Arsenal last month, has often been invited to train with the first team and he is mostly remembered for his best up to date being a brace against Spurs in an U18 Premier League fixture in the 2019/20 season.
This weekend could now provide another step forward for Butler-Oyedeji, who has been on the books of Arsenal since the age of seven, rising through the ranks before signing scholarship deals and he has so far this season appeared in three matches for The Gunners’ development squad.
