Chelsea of England youth team striker, Bryan Fiabema got one of the goals that helped The Blues’ under-23 squad snatch a 4-2 win against Blackburn Rovers in their last match of the season in the English Premier League 2, megaspotsarena.com reports.
The Port Harcourt-born lad made the best of his final match of the campaign with an exciting outing at County Ground Lancashire on Friday evening, as the lad with a mother from Norway struck home his first goal since October 24, when he hit target back then against Liverpool.
Fiabema picked his spot, hit the target and the ball ended up in the back of the net after a fine assist from Harvey Vale, after getting off The Blues’ bench to replace the injured Sam McClelland in the 43rd minute with the score at 1-0 in favour of Chelsea.
Henry Lawrence scored his second of the game just before half-time, Sam Durrant reduced the deficit two minutes into the second half before Fiabema restored Chelsea’s two-goal lead on 56 minutes.
Fiabema, who went 13 matches without a goal in the Premier League 2 before Friday’s fixture, earlier got on the scoresheet versus AFC Fylde in the FA Youth Cup last month, but his side have now finished second behind Manchester City.
