Girondis Bordeaux’s Nigerian international striker Josh Maja will not be joining Birmingham City, Megasportsarena.com reports.
Contrary to speculations and reports, the 23-year-old has decided to stay in France to help his club fight for promotion back to Ligue 1.
He has agreed on a two-year deal with a 50% wage deferral, which will be paid at the end of the season, while he will be allowed to leave for free if FCGB stay in Ligue 2.
Maja joined Bordeaux from Sunderland in 2019.
He has also spent time on loan at Fulham and Stoke City.
