Club Brugge of Belgium attacker, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure may yet face an uphill task in his desire to leave the team in the next transfer window, as the Belgian champions have placed a massive 20 million euro price tag on his head, megasportsarena.com reports.
After finally being forced to stay put at Club Brugge this past summer, despite several links with clubs in England, France and Spain, Bonaventure is eager to make the move in January, but he has been hit with startling news that top brass in his Jupiler League side are still keen in getting a whiff of money on his likely exit.
The report out of Belgium indicates that Brugge aim to get a transfer fee of at least 20m euro, as they aim to cash in on the frenzy of the summer, when several top clubs were virtually falling over one another in a mad rush to sign the Nigerian youngster, but none of them agreed on the fee stipulated by the club.
SudPresse reports that Brugge’s asking price will still be around the regions of 20 million Euros after they sold Jose Izquierdo and Nigerian-born youngster, Arnaut Danjuma to clubs in the English Premier League for 15 and 18 million Euros respectively in the previous summer.
While Bonaventure’s hope of moving to England was scuttled when he was denied a British work permit, which put paid to his link with West Bromwich Albion, Club Brugge still hope to get a good bargain on the 22-year-old attacker they got from FC Zorya of Ukraine three years ago.
