Arsenal In Pole Position To Sign Akanji

Borussia Dortmund centre-half Manuel Akanji has been offered to Arsenal.

The respected defender has been linked with Manchester United in recent months but it now looks the Emirates Stadium may be a likely destination for him. 

Akanji’s agents are seeking a move to the Premier League for the stopper and have approached Arsenal.

They are highlighting the fact that Akanji is a Swiss team-mate of Gunners ace Granit Xhaka who impressed in an friendly against England in March.

And they are confident that Dortmund’s current £21million asking price is certain to drop in the coming weeks.
