West Ham United of England summer signing, Armstrong Okoflex netted a goal on his debut for The Hammers, but it came in a game he featured for the London club’s under-23 squad, who he helped defeat Loughborough University 4-1 in a pre-season game on Saturday.
Okoflex won and converted a penalty kick in the 18th minute to make it 2-0, while West Ham’s other scorers were Amadou Diallo, Bernardo Rosa and Mesaque Dju, but Ajibola Alese and Mipo Odubeko did not play, as they are currently training with The Hammers’ first team.
Megasportsarena.com reports that the only Nigerian-born player on the pitch, though, made a world of difference, as Okoflex, who was signed from Glasgow Celtic of Scotland, started justifying his two-and-half year contract that he signed with The Hammers in June.
That was despite the fact that his last official game in England was against Tottenham Hotspur in the U18 English Premier League on April 24, 2018, while wearing the colours of Arsenal, but the Nigerian-born Ireland youth international made the best of his role in a three-man attack against the United Counties League side.
