Glasgow Rangers of Scotland midfielder, Joe Aribo is back in contention for action with The Gers this weekend in the Scottish Premiership, following his period of rest all through this week, megasportsarena.com reports.
This much was disclosed b y Rangers’ coach, Giovanni van Bronckhorst had positive news on the availability of Joe Aribo during his pre-match press conference before the trip to Ross County.
The versatile midfielder returned to Glasgow earlier this week following the Super Eagles’ elimination from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, but Van Bronckhorst left him out of the squad that played against Livingston in midweek.
The Dutch tactician reckoned that the former Charlton Athletic of England dazzler was fatigued after the trip back from Africa, but he is now set to line out against Ross County this weekend.
Aribo, who has played nine matches since the arrival of Van Bronckhorst at Ibrox Stadium, with three goals and two assists to his name, would have certainly missed this weekend’s game had the Eagles qualified for the AFCON 2021 quarter-finals.
Van Bronckhorst, though, is happy to have Aribo back, as the gaffer retorted: “Of course Joe Aribo is back in the squad because he had a good rest this week.
“He’s ready for (Saturday) and, of course, Amad will be in the squad as well. Injury wise we can only welcome back Ryan Kent from suspension. “
