Anthony Nwakaeme will be leaving Trabzonspor at the end of the month after both parties failed to reach an agreement on a new contract, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Nigerian forward, who spent four years at the club, played a vital role as Trabzonspor won the league title for the first time in 38 years last season, scoring 15 times and providing 12 assists in 36 league appearances.
The protracted contract tussle which has lingered for months has now forced the 33 year old striker to leave the club to seek pastures new.
“Dear Trabzonspor fans they are just turning you all against me so it will look like I was the one that left and they’re also trying to spoil my market value,” Nwakaeme posted on his Instagram page.
