Former Nottingham Forest and Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has taken a massive swipe at Alex Iwobi, suggesting players like him are the reason Everton are in a relegation battle.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Everton dropped into the Premier League’s relegation zone at the weekend after they lost to Liverpool and Burnley won against Wolves.
Collymore says it’s now sink or swim time for Frank Lampard and the Blues and he suggests that the manager will be relying more upon players like Anthony Gordon than Iwobi.
“The time of reckoning is here for Frank Lampard and everyone associated with Everton.
“It’s Chelsea, Leicester and Watford up next in a tough run and, after watching them against Liverpool on Sunday, one thing was clear.
“That is they have 11 Anthony Gordons between now and the end of the season, they will stay up, if they have 11 Alex Iwobis they will go down.”
