Iheanacho, Lookman Set To Feature Against Tammy Abraham

Leicester City of England duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman are set to feature for The Fixes’ in Thursday’s UEFFA Conference League semi-final fixture against Nigerian-born striker, Tammy Abraham’s Italian club, AS Roma.

Megasportsarena.com gathered that, while Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi remains out with injury, Iheanacho and Lookman will provide talking points for Nigerian fans heading into the game at King Power Stadium.

Another interest highlight ahead of the game in Leicester City is that scouts from at least three English Premier League clubs will be present to see how they fare against former Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho’s team in the semi-final, first leg clash.

A preview by Italian publication, Tuttomercatoweb.com revealed that Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Newcastle United have sent their scouts to monitor the game.

Arsenal already have Abraham on their summer transfer radar, alongside Super Eagles’ hitman, Victor Osimhen, who plays for SSC Napoli of Italy, but Iheanacho and Lookman will also get huge opportunities to play themselves into reckoning.

Iheanacho and Lookman are already in contention for starting spots with The Foxes, as they host Abraham’s Roma-based side, thereby drawing up memories of how both Nigerian national team players got attention from Arsenal and Totenham in the past.

Interest in Iheanacho came from Arsenal when he emerged most valuable player at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which Nigeria won in United Arab Emirates, but he opted to sign for Manchester City.

On the other hand, Lookman, who is currently on loan from RB Leipzig of Germany, attracted interest from The Gunners and Spurs during his day at Charlton Athletic, but he moved to Everton instead.

Iheanacho, who has five goals in ten Euro club games this season, will be pushing for a start Thursday’s match ahead of Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka in attack against the Serie A opponents, while Lookman has three from the same number of games.
